The Bookaholics Haven began with a simple idea: to create the kind of bookshop I would love to lose myself in.
Books have always been more than stories to me. They can be an escape, a comfort, a community and, sometimes, exactly what we need at a particular moment in our lives. My love of reading — especially romance, fantasy and romantasy — together with years spent working behind the scenes with authors and within the online book community, inspired me to turn that love into something readers could experience in the real world.
The dream is to create a welcoming bookshop where romance, fantasy and romantasy readers can discover bestselling favourites, special editions and exciting new voices, while making sure authors and stories from diverse backgrounds are celebrated throughout the shelves.
But The Bookaholics Haven is about more than buying books.
I want it to be somewhere you can settle into a cosy corner with a coffee and your latest read, meet other book lovers, attend author events and book launches, join a book club, discover a new favourite author, or simply spend far too long browsing the shelves. No judgement — we understand.
Community will be at the heart of the Haven. Through events, workshops, reader meet-ups and our online community, I hope to create a space where a shared love of stories brings people together.
We’re only at the beginning of our story, and there is so much still to come.
